As a child of Italian immigrants, Yves Montand was not destined for a star career. He started working in a factory at the age of eleven. But his fascination with the world of musicals showed him the path he eventually followed. During it, he was influenced by a number of women – at the beginning of his career Édith Piaf, who taught him the tricks of the trade, then Simone Signoretová, his wife and biggest fan, or perhaps the famous Marilyn Monroe, with whom he had a brief affair at the beginning of his American career. The archival materials will also show his tour of the USSR or the interpretation of the classic songs “Chansonnette”, “Bella Ciao” and “A Paris”.
