The National Meteorological Service issued a rainfall alert for the start of the long weekend in Neuquén and Río Negro.
In the province of Neuquén, intense snowfall has already been recorded in the towns of Zapala, Las Lajas and Piedra del Águila. It also happened in Cutral Co and Plaza Huincul.

Caution on the routes in the middle of the long weekend:
Much of the roads in Neuquén They are enabled although they request extreme caution in some sectors with rain, snow and ice. The carrying of chains in these sectors is mandatory.
Route 242 between Argentine Customs and the border with Chile is closed. The Pino Hachado International pass remains closed, while the Cardenal Samoré pass continues to be enabled.
National Route 40 between Zapala and Las Lajas is passable with extreme caution, the road is wet and there are sectors with ice. From roads they highlighted that there are teams working in the sector.
