The president of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, has spoken in a video broadcast before thousands of people who this Friday have decided to take to the streets in the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, in Georgia, Tbilisi, and in other parts of Europe against the Ukrainian war.

Czech protesters have gathered in Wenceslas Square with thousands of Ukrainian, Czech or Slovak flags, and have placed flowers, stuffed animals and inscriptions in support of Ukraine before the statue that commemorates the patron saint of Bohemia, according to the portal of news ‘iDnes’.

Meanwhile, the Georgian protesters have gathered on Rustaveli Avenue, where the president of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, has spoken electronically before the crowd, gathered with banners and flags in favor of Ukraine.

“Today I am where Georgia should be, next to President Zelensky, Ukraine. It is the dignity of our culture, our tradition and the dignity of our nation,” said the Georgian president, according to the newspaper ‘The Georgian Times’.

According to the Ukrainian news channel Ukrinform, the demonstrations took place in other European locations, such as Frankfurt, Prague, Lyon, Vienna, Bratislava or Vilnius. The Ukrainian president has pointed out in his speech that “if Ukraine falls, Europe will fall”.

“I want to make a second minute of silence as well, in honor of our civilians: adults and children, dozens and hundreds of people who unknowingly gave their lives. A large Russian flag has been moved by the protesters to the Embassy and, according to local media, there have been no incidents. The rally has been organized by various right-wing and far-right organizations.

According to the Serbian newspaper ‘Politika’, the leader of the so-called People’s Patrols, Damnjan Knezevic, and the leader of the far-right party, Mladen Obradovic, addressed the crowd assuring that “Russia is liberating the entire world from the threats of the NATO”.
