Zero unemployment territories: why the government is reducing its support

2023-08-17 15:13:56

A small drop for a big annoyance. The Ministry of Labor imposed, by decree in early August, a 7% drop in the level of support for jobs created within the framework of the Zero Long-Term Unemployed Territories experiment, or TZCLD. This contribution will increase from 102% to 95% of the gross minimum wage from 1is October and until June 30, 2024. That is 122 euros less for a full-time monthly job, at the risk, according to the actors of the experiment, of threatening its entire economic model.

As a reminder, a first experiment was launched in 2016 in 10 territories for five years at the initiative of ATD Fourth World, pushed to Parliament by Laurent Grandguillaume, former PS deputy. It was followed by a second for at least 50 more by 2026.
