“Conversations come natural to us – the way that we work is through conversations, it’s just a natural part of how humans are,” Leo Boulton stated as Zoom outlined its new artificial intelligence plans at the London Zoom Experience Centre.
Getting the job done should be just as natural, according to the company’s product leadership, who detailed a shift toward embedding intelligence directly into everyday enterprise workflows rather than forcing users to adapt their behavior to fit a software platform.
The tech giant has expanded aggressively from its pandemic-era video conferencing roots into contact center services and broad enterprise AI tools, techradar.com reported.
Louise Newbury-Smith, Zoom’s Head of UKI, explained that organizations are no longer changing their work patterns to accommodate rigid software platforms.
“Organizations are starting to refuse to compromise – they want platforms to work the way they want to work,” Newbury-Smith noted, highlighting the changing demands of enterprise clients.

To support this push, Zoom opened its UK data center in November 2025, according to techradar.com, giving local councils, NHS trusts, and financial services firms local data residency choices that previously did not exist.
Nick Tidd, Head of Global Channel GTM, described the EMEA region as a high-growth opportunity anchored by AI integration and workflow capture.
Zoom is banking its AI evolution on a Unified Context Layer designed to bridge conversational data with actual task completion.
“Think of how Zoom is positioned across the product portfolio – capturing all of those conversations…(and) putting them into the context to capture them in the workflow is where we are very different to others,” Tidd said.
Boulton emphasized that user resistance to AI tools stems from friction in adoption, making the integration of intelligence into standard communication channels essential.
The company argues that before machine learning models can operate effectively, they require high-fidelity raw materials, necessitating crisp audio, clear video, and genuine eye contact during calls.
To feed high-quality inputs into its AI systems, Zoom is rolling out real-time audio and video fidelity features.

Upcoming releases include a real-time voice smoothing tool called “touch up my voice” alongside a pose correction tool designed to improve interpersonal eye contact.
Users will also gain access to a live assist feature that offers proactive suggestions during calls, such as prompting speakers to adjust their pacing.
Zoom Chat is similarly slated for an upgrade to function as a shared collaborative space where human workers and AI agents interact within external interfaces.
