China had planned to launch a charter plane to evacuate the 6,000 remaining citizens of Ukraine, but it is not easy.
China has been belatedly having a hard time denying the Russian invasion rumor itself as ‘fake news’ made by the US.

Ambassador Pan Xianlong, who remains at the Chinese embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine, posted a video on social media.

Currently, there are about 6,000 Chinese in Ukraine.
The Chinese embassy did not issue an evacuation order for its citizens even after the Russian invasion began.
As the situation worsened, the Chinese government hurriedly announced plans to evacuate by chartered plane, but it was already too late.
This is because it has become difficult to launch a civil aircraft in an urgent situation where missiles and shells are flying.

The local Chinese embassy posted and deleted a notice on the first day of the invasion stating that it would be safe to put a Chinese flag on the vehicle.
Posts harassing Ukrainian women were also uploaded on Chinese social media and became a problem, so they asked their citizens to refrain.

Earlier, the Chinese government underestimated the possibility of a war even just before a Russian invasion.
The United States gave warnings as time went on, but China did not believe it and rather criticized the United States.

As a result, some analysts say that China did not fully understand Russia’s intentions or plans for aggression.
China has chosen to cooperate with Russia to fight the United States, and it is paying the price after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
