As Taiwan has announced its will to confront China’s armed protests, the anxiety of the residents is growing.

We looked at the expressions of residents in Fujian Province, China, which is closest to Taiwan, and Keelung City, Taiwan, which is close to China.

Pingtan Island, Fujian Province, is the closest Chinese resort area facing Taiwan.

Right next to the market, white smoke rises with a loud bang.

Shortly thereafter, the appearance of missiles heading for Taiwan is caught in the eye one after another.

However, residents and tourists do not seem to care much.

We are busy taking pictures together.

The response is that the conflict with Taiwan is not so worrisome.

The northernmost port in Taiwan, the closest to China.

As always, the residents who came out to swim have a good time.

However, the concerns of fishermen who have to make a living are not alone.

It’s squid season, but I can’t afford to go fishing.

On the first day of military exercises, China fired hundreds of shells and missiles at Taiwan.

The Taiwanese government has expressed a strong will to defend its sovereignty against China’s military threat.
