Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong, who is visiting Mexico, met with President Andres Manuel López Obrador President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador at the Presidential Palace in Mexico City on the 8th local time and requested support for hosting the 2030 World Expo in Busan.
President Lopez Obrador posted on Twitter that he had met with Vice Chairman Lee, and that he received promotional materials for the Busan Expo from Vice Chairman Lee and discussed plans for investment in the construction and energy sectors.
Vice-Chairman Lee, who started the bid for the 2030 Expo in Busan as a presidential special envoy, plans to visit Panama and the UK in turn after inspecting TV and home appliance factories in Mexico.
