[인포스탁데일리=박상철 기자] Asiana Airlines’ board of directors decided to approve the ‘cargo business sale plan’.
On the 2nd, Asiana Airlines resumed its board meeting to decide whether to ‘consent to submit Korean Air’s corrective action plan’ to the European Commission (EC), and passed the vote.
Previously, Asiana Airlines held a board meeting on the 30th of last month to discuss the agenda.
However, the vote could not be completed and was adjourned as questions about the qualifications of Kim & Chang law office advisor Chang-beon Yoon arose.
The merger of Asiana with Korean Air is expected to accelerate due to the Asiana board of directors’ approval of the sale of the cargo business.
In addition, analysis suggests that the likelihood of receiving EU merger approval has significantly increased.
