The travel ban to Ukraine started at 00:00 today.

To this end, the government has issued a travel advisory level 4 for all regions of Ukraine.

As a result, it is expected that citizens currently residing in Ukraine will be on their way to departure one after another.

It is known that about 340 people, including expatriates and international students, are staying in Ukraine.

The local embassy is in frequent contact with Korean residents and provides information on how to depart by air or land.

The government has so far imposed travel bans on countries with generally unstable conditions such as Iraq, Somalia, Afghanistan, and Yemen.

Visits to travel-banned countries are only possible with an exception from the government.

If you stay in violation of the travel ban, you may be punished according to the passport law.

As the situation in Ukraine worsened, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which entered into a travel ban, formed a task force led by the second vice minister to prepare countermeasures.

The Ministry of National Defense is also maintaining a readiness posture so that in case of emergency, air force transport planes can be used to transport Koreans overseas.
