A large apartment complex in Seoul was under construction to replace an old water pipe.
It was a project worth 10 billion won, but there was a testimonial that the company that won the project offered a rebate of 1 billion won to its representatives.
One of the former executives of the Residents’ Representatives Association had filed a whistleblower complaint with MBC.

Olympic Family Apartment in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
It has been over 30 years since I moved in after the Olympics.
It is a large complex with 4,500 households.
Since last May, we have been working on replacing all old water pipes that are leaking rust.
However, reports from residents that it was full of insolvency followed one after another.
When we checked the site, we did not replace important parts such as meters, controllers, and pumps, but reused old ones.

“The hot water meter should not be reused. I put it in water to reuse it, but if foreign substances enter it like this, the precise rotating part is clogged…”
The finish is also a mess.

“Look at the plumbing done. The water dripping and dripping down the plumbing. Laying down the line like that on the ground. That’s it.”
However, there was a testimonial that the money was sent and received for this construction.

It is said that a construction company came with a money bag during the bidding process.

“They came to our office with about 5 million won, and they came and bribed me in September.
Mr. Han returned the envelope and raised the issue to the chairman and other executives that this company should not be selected.
However, it is said that what came back was a bruise as to whether it was interfering with the business.
And the boss of the company came back.
This time, it is said to have proposed 10 billion won.

“The OOO president, OO, who is currently working on our apartment building, came directly to me. He told me he would give me 1 billion won if things went well. He told me something like, ‘Have about 500 million won and share the rest’.”
Mr. Han refused, but as a result of the bidding, this company and another company won the project together.

“The other members of the group also turned them all over by themselves. Then, I wonder if that means that someone else has been bought again…”
Were the chairman and other executives really bribed?
The parties strongly denied the allegations.

“No. I got it at this age.
It has been confirmed that the company in question is being investigated by the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency on charges of giving money to the resident representative in Incheon as well.
