[특별기고] “Moist and dirty masks encourage virus infection”

Director Oh Soon-young of the Department of Family Medicine, who is an active messenger about the hidden truth of Corona, which the mainstream media does not convey in relation to the Corona crisis, sent a special contribution to the headquarters. Director Oh is spreading the theory that masks are not only ineffective in blocking viruses, but can rather threaten health. He has also revealed that he is treating many corona patients without a mask. (*Editor’s note)

Putting on and taking off a mask is a very personal thing to follow, and it is very unscientific to conclude that a mask protects against the virus. The long-term wearing of masks is causing a number of problems.

Not only health issues but also freedom and human rights are a problem, and it is becoming a society that takes for granted the rather ridiculous things that we take off when we eat and do not eat, and the non-science that we use even in the hot summer when there is no virus activity. In particular, enforcing children’s masks is a serious matter that should not be taken lightly as an act that harms the future of the country by causing uniformity as well as physical and mental health. Therefore, I would like to explain in detail why you have to take off the mask.

1) Summary of guidelines for wearing masks from WHO and the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
The WHO’s primary guidelines for mask wearing of 29 January 20, when asymptomatic, wearing medical masks can lead to unnecessary costs, procurement burdens, and misuse of other essential measures such as hand hygiene, and misuse of masks. If you do, you can reduce the effect of reducing the risk of transmission.

The second guidance, issued on April 6, 20, stated that there is currently insufficient evidence to support the widespread use of masks by healthy people in the community. ) was warned.

According to the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC), in the first recommendation to wear a mask issued on February 12, 2020, if you have respiratory symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, sputum, or runny nose, if a healthy person cares for a suspected new coronavirus infection, if you visit a medical institution , defined as those who work in occupations with a high risk of infection and transmission that require contact with many people.

The second recommendation presented on March 3, 20 recommends the use of a health mask for high-risk groups with underlying diseases if there is a risk of infection, such as contact with a suspected infection, but in situations where there is no risk of infection or there is no health mask They said that they use a cotton mask (including replacing the static filter) and that it is not necessary to wear a mask outdoors, at home, or in private areas that are not crowded.

In September 20, 2020, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) was promoted to Cheong, and two months later, in November, the totalitarian mandatory mask was implemented like Hitler’s ‘Imperial Health Act’, making Korea a faceless country.

2) Mandatory masks are unreasonable.
Even though all Koreans wear masks, the corona infection rate is not significantly lower than in countries that do not. Even looking for papers on the mask effect, it is difficult to conclude that it works. This is because there are as many papers as there are papers that say they are effective. And measuring the effectiveness of a mask is virtually impossible. Because it is impossible to expose the same amount of virus to the experimental group and the control group, each person has different lifestyles, and each person’s immunity is different.

That is why different papers produce different results. In order for the mandatory mask to be justified, it must be scientifically verified that the effect of preventing the virus must be clear. Otherwise, it’s unfair.

It has been reported in various news recently that there are more Omicron confirmed cases in Korea, where they wear masks while sweating profusely in the summer than in the United States and Europe, which do not wear masks.

3) The mask is harming your health.
Wearing a mask is living with an enclosed space attached to your face. Several studies have shown that long-term wearing of a mask lowers oxygen saturation in the body and increases carbon dioxide. In fact, many children complain of depression, anxiety, lethargy, headache, lack of concentration, and sensitivity due to wearing a mask for a long time.

Because children grow their brains by seeing the rich expressions of their parents and people around them, facial expressions have such a great influence on emotion and brain development that there is a saying that there is no brain without a face. Therefore, the younger you are, the more you have to take off the mask, and Korean parents are putting on a mask even for newborns. The WHO prohibits wearing a mask for children under 5 years of age, but the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention forbids it in children under 2 years of age.

Again, this was arbitrarily determined by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention without any medical basis. With obsessive mothers wearing masks on children under the age of two, I am concerned that their children will grow up normally.

Also, in summer, the high humidity and temperature inside the mask creates an optimal environment for bacteria to thrive. On the other hand, the environment outside of the mask creates an environment in which viruses cannot survive due to high humidity, high temperature, and strong ultraviolet rays in summer. Therefore, wearing a mask to prevent corona in the summer is not for health, but harms health, and it is nonsense, not science.

4) Masks can be a source of virus transmission.
The COVID-19 virus can survive as an aerosol for up to 3 hours, on fabric and wood for 1 day, on glass for 2 days, on stainless steel and plastic for 4 days, and on the outer surface of a medical mask for up to 7 days. The reason that the virus can survive longer than anywhere else on the surface of the mask is because it is the optimal environmental condition.

Therefore, when wearing the mask, do not touch the outside, and if you do, disinfect it with hand sanitizer or wash it for at least 30 seconds as instructed. Even when the mask is temporarily taken off for a meal, it should be stored in an airtight bag, but no one does. Most people wear a mask around their neck, and when eating, they put it on the table, stuff it in their pocket or bag, and there are countless people who keep wearing it for several days.

Even though 99% of Koreans wear masks, one of the reasons why there are more confirmed cases compared to countries that do not wear masks is that masks are a major source of transmission.

5) The social atmosphere was too rigid with the mask.
Humor, tolerance, understanding, kindness and respect for individuality are very important. Our people are now losing these important lubricants that soften society, resolve conflicts between classes, and bring reconciliation. More important than the mask are these lubricants. These are things that make control from above less necessary while at the same time making control more difficult.

And in recent years, the number of people complaining of depression, anxiety, insomnia, lethargy, and suicide has also increased. It is said that more people are looking for the Department of Psychiatry than ever before. This is because they wear a mask, avoid communication and encounters, and lead a life of isolation and severance. We need to get back to the old days where we can take off the mask as soon as possible, find a face, and have a bright smile and honest conversation.

6) In children and adolescents, Corona is not very dangerous.
Corona is a disease that can be cured by 99% even in healthy children and adolescents, so please rest assured. There are people who argue that children and adolescents should be put on masks and vaccinated because the elderly over the age of 60 are at risk.

It is sufficient to wear a mask only for children who are currently infected and have symptoms. I hope parents and teachers can relax and free themselves from the compulsion to wear a mask. The obsession is harming not only yourself, but your children and the country.

Putting on and taking off a mask is a very basic freedom of the body. No one has the right to infringe on this natural freedom. Too bad quarantine and non-science have dominated the country for several years, damaging the health and spirit of the people, including children and adolescents, who are the future of Korea. We need to get back to normal as soon as possible so that our people don’t live without their faces any longer.
