Aswan Governorate continues the ongoing preparations to launch the comprehensive health insurance system in Aswan at the end of this year in order to provide a high quality integrated health service.
The seventh day reviews the top 10 information about the new system, know them:
1. More than 1.6 million people benefit from the new system.
2. 11 hospitals within the system.
3. Equipping 112 medical centers and family medicine units ready for actual operation.
4. The rate of citizen registration at the governorate level has reached more than 70% of the target to be registered in the system.
5. Final finishes and preparations are underway for Horus Hospitals in Edfu, Ophthalmology in Aswan, and Al-Masala Fever Hospitals.
6. Completion of construction works in Kom Ombo, Draou and Nasr El Nuba hospitals.
7. The completion of the introduction of public facilities to Horus Hospital in Edfu at a cost of 24 million pounds from the plan of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company.
8. Horus Hospital, whose construction cost reached more than 600 million pounds.
9. The hospital serves more than half a million people, and includes 3 buildings with 170 beds in all specialties and departments, as well as 8 outpatient clinics and 6 operating rooms for various surgeries.
10. The hospital includes a dialysis department that includes 63 washing machines, in addition to 21 nurseries and 20 intensive care beds, in addition to administrative offices and doctors housing .
