Ligue 1 – 17th day – Monaco beats Brest (1-0), Lorient recovers in Angers (1-2), Nantes and Toulouse win

Monaco-Brest: 1-0

Everyone had their half time but everything will be decided in the second half. After coming up against Marco Bizot (32nd, 36th), Philipe Clement’s players found the solution after the break, when Brest finally showed themselves to be dangerous. A powerful strike from Aleksandr Golovin at the entrance to the surface (54th) was enough to make the Monegasques happy, then saved by Alexander Nübel (58th, 60th, 81st) and by the inefficiency of Brest. Monaco is temporarily up to OM, in 3rd place, while Brest, however very interesting in the second half, concedes a second defeat in five days and remains 17th.

Our opinion : Monaco is not brilliant but continues.

Angers-Lorient: 1-2

Lorient believed in it and did well. Les Merlus overthrew Angers and ended a series of six matches without winning in the league. It was the Angevins who best approached this 17th day with the goal scored by Abdallah Dipo Sima (10th). Unable to take shelter, the SCO players paid dearly for their lack of skill. At the end of the match, on a corner from Lorient N°10 Enzo Le Fée, Sima, scorer, this time sent the ball into his own net. The Merlus attacking midfielder showed his talent to score the winning goal, a powerful strike under the bar of Paul Bernardoni’s cage. A stroke of genius that puts Lorient back on its feet and pushes Angers a little further, conceding a 9th defeat in a row.

Our opinion : Lorient did not shine, but here they are finally revived.

Nantes – Auxerre: 1-0

Big breath of fresh air for the Canaries. After five games without a win, Nantes has finally returned to success. Antoine Kombouaré’s players got rid of Auxerre thanks to a goal from Marcus Coco (74th), during a very lively match (24 shots in all). They will be able to say thank you to Alban Lafont, decisive at the end of the meeting (80th, 82nd, 84th), and at the helm, who pushed back the head of Jubal (76th). Auxerre has still not won a single away game this season and remains in the red zone (18th) while Nantes gives itself a little air (14th) with four points ahead of 17th.

Our opinion : The matches follow one another and look alike for Auxerre.

Toulouse-Ajaccio: 2-0

A few days after the slap received in Marseille, Toulouse recovered perfectly. Still just as players, Philippe Montanier’s men entertained the Stadium against Corsicans overwhelmed by the opposing game (68% possession for the Toulouse) and harmless (1 shot, 0 on target). The Ratao-Dejaegere duo was decisive as the Brazilian opened the scoring on a pass from his captain (46th), before returning the favor after a superb collective movement (62nd). The TFC puts an end to five games without a win and goes back to 12th place while Ajaccio remains in 16th place.

Our opinion : This time, Toulouse was rewarded for its game intentions.
