Shark attacks girls and bites them in stomach and arms

A 13-year-old Florida girl was attacked by a shark last Thursday. Ella Reed described on the local TV station “Local 10” how the shark attacked her and injured her stomach, hand, arm and fingers.
According to this, the girl was with a friend in about waist-high water when the shark suddenly attacked her on the stomach. “The shark was so strong. I felt that the most because it attacked my stomach really hard,” she told the TV station. Reed suspects that it was a bull shark about 1.50 meters long.
Shark flees briefly – but immediately turns back
She was able to briefly rout the shark with a punch, but he immediately turned around and swam back to her: “He wouldn’t leave me alone, so I had to use my arm and hand. That’s why he caught my arm and fingers,” says Reed.
They then called their mother and brother for help. Her mother recalls: “It was crazy because she was covered in blood all over her, actually from head to toe, so she couldn’t really see what was going on.” Her daughter was shaking but remained calm the whole time.
13-year-old saves herself from a shark – and remains undaunted
Reed was able to detach himself from the shark. Her bite injuries on her stomach, arm, knee and finger were treated in the hospital with a total of 19 stitches. The 13-year-old recalls that she was so shocked that she didn’t really realize what had just happened. That’s why she didn’t feel any pain – her adrenaline level was just incredibly high.

Despite the horror attack, the young American doesn’t want to spoil her fun at the sea. She says she has never been afraid of the ocean and wants to go straight back into the sea even after her recovery. She is “proud” of her scars – knowing that it could have been much worse.
