This October 29, the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEMéx) will hold the 15th edition of the Commemorative Athletic Race for Doctor’s Day, with a 2-kilometer walk and a 5-kilometer run.
The details were announced by the director, Hugo Mendieta Zerón, who was accompanied by the director of Physical Culture and Sports of the Mexican Autonomous Community, Luis Antonio Zimbron Romero; the coordinator of the Physical Activity and Sports Medicine Center, Héctor Tlatoa; Felipe Suárez, representative of the promoter PAVIGUE, as well as the coordinator of Cultural Diffusion of the Faculty of Medicine, Fátima García Espino.
The departure is scheduled at 8:00 in the morning, in front of the Faculty of Medicine, located on Jesús Carranza on the corner of Paseo Tollocan, in the Mexican capital.
The race invites the general public and members of the university community, who may participate in the following categories, both in the men’s and women’s branches: over 18 years of age, UAEMéx students and UAEMéx affiliated personnel.
Registration costs 200 pesos for UAEMéx students and staff and 350 pesos for the general public, which can be done at the Faculty of Medicine, in the Vicente Guerrero Park and in www.asdeporte.com.
The kit for the 5 km run and 2 km walk will consist of a number, chip, fry fit shirt, medal, hydration, as well as first aid and safety services on the route.
In the 5 kilometers, the men’s and women’s branches can be registered and for the 2 kilometers it is recreational with a cause, so it is invited to wear a health solidarity ribbon. Registration will close on October 28.
