The couple also uploaded a poem by Clare Polland entitled “The Contradiction” which “moves us deeply”. Madeleine, who was three when she disappeared from a resort in Praia da Luz, Portugal, would be just under 20 today. The couple always hoped that Madeleine would be found alive and well.
The German citizen with a criminal record for sexual offenses Christian Brückner is considered the main suspect in the case of Madeleine McCann. In a letter from prison, he admitted many crimes. In the Maddie case, however, he maintains his innocence.
