TEHRAN – Anti-government protests in Iran have entered their fourth week. Protesters and police clashed on Tuesday in the cities of Sanandaj, Banay and Zakes in the Kurdish regions. 125 people were arrested from Tehran and Hormozgan provinces. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei accused Iran’s foreign enemies of being behind the uprising.
About 30 women demonstrated in Tehran shouting slogans against Khamenei. The strike continues at the universities as well. Lawyers in Tehran also demonstrated in support. The agitation started on the 17th after the death of Mahsa Amini (22), who was detained by the police for allegedly not wearing hijab properly.
