20 people were transferred from a nursing home to a hospital… What is the reason?

rep reported “Lebanon 24”That the ambulance teams in the emergency and relief apparatus worked to transfer about 20 elderly people from one of the nursing home centers in the Abu Samra region, to the Tripoli Governmental Hospital, as a result of their suffering from diarrhea and vomiting, while the reasons were not known, pending laboratory tests.

Later, the administration of the government hospital in Tripoli announced that it had received a number of people with diarrhea and vomiting from one of the elderly centers in Abi Samra, and that it immediately dealt with them as if they had cholera, so it worked to isolate them.

For its part, the nursing home – Social Services Center in Abi Samra announced that 11 elderly people had diarrhea and vomiting and were already transferred to the government hospital.

The hospital administration indicated that the center immediately contacted the Health Authority in Tripoli and the Ministry of Health, in order to coordinate, follow up, and find out the cause of the injuries, and that a general examination was immediately conducted, in coordination with the Authority, pending the results of laboratory tests. The rest of the inmates were also vaccinated against cholera, with the participation of the Red Cross.

And she emphasized that “the management of the center will issue an explanatory statement as soon as the data becomes available, and will pursue the causes of injuries, in order to prevent the spread of infection or the recurrence of any similar pathological manifestations among the elderly, whose number exceeds 300.”
