While the national government celebrates Independence Day today through events promoted by the ruling party for the reunion between Sergio Massa, Alberto Fernández and Cristina Kirchner, the Judiciary will do the same tomorrow, Monday, at noon.
The call promoted by judges from the Association of Magistrates and Officials of the National Justice, the two bar associations, the Público de Capital Federal and the one from the City of Buenos Aires (both facing each other), and the Union of Employees of the Justice of the Nation will be tomorrow at 1:00 p.m., “in defense of the independence of Justice” on the steps of the Palace of Courts on Talcahuano Street.
Magistrates from various jurisdictions will participate in the meeting, mainly from the Federal Justice, who intervene in high-impact files where politics and members of the union headed by Julio Piumato are investigated, as well as members of the Council of the Magistracy, the body in charge of promoting , sanction and remove judges as well as administer the Judiciary.
The question that is circulating at this time is the presence of Carlos Rosenkrantz, Horacio Rosatti, Juan Carlos Maqueda and Ricardo Lorenzetti, ministers of the Supreme Court of Justice, which cannot be ruled out and may have repercussions not only as a result of the latest interventions that had the highest court on electoral issues, as happened with the elections in San Juan and Tucumán, but also because of other decisions that it must make, such as the co-participation conflict between the Nation and the City.
For Judge Marcelo Gallo Tagle, head of the Amfjn, the call lacks any political connotation, “it is a sign of fatigue of all those who make up the Judiciary and the legal profession, where respect is demanded for the division of powers, the cessation of the permanent attack, especially from those who react in an overwhelming and aggressive way before rulings adverse to their interests, whether political or economic, questioning a State institution, to protect petty and punctual interests of those who attack”.

Be careful during the heat wave
Following this bathing accident, the police warn, in this period of heat wave. The mercury exceeded 30°C on the plain this weekend, and peaks of more than 35°C in the shade are expected this Sunday. While it is pleasant to cool off, the risk of drowning is high and the utmost caution must be observed. The cantonal police of Vaud recalls the safety instructions related to swimming, in particular the fact of gradually entering the water, on a light stomach and constantly monitoring children.
The heat wave is expected to end Tuesday evening.

Tragedy in Nanterre: Unveiling the Shocking Video that Ignited Nationwide Protests
2023-07-09 07:47:00
On June 27, a tragedy that would shake the whole of France took place in Nanterre. During a simple roadside check, a young man named Nahel refused to obey the orders of the police. As he was regarding to flee, a police officer opened fire on the minor, tragically killing him instantly.
Quickly, images showing the seriousness of the facts circulate on social networks and set fire to the powder. In a deleterious climate, riots broke out in the four corners of France and many voices were raised in reaction to this police blunder.
This Sunday, BFMTV was able to obtain the interview of the person behind the video. She claims to have acted like any other citizen and confides “to hear the anger of the French”.
On the morning of the tragedy, the young woman is at her place of work. One of her colleagues tells her that she witnessed a shocking incident and shows her the damning video, which the young woman decides to broadcast. “I felt quite embarrassed to have to go to the police station with this video. I know that police officers do their job well, but when we see that and we know the first version that was given and which was not the reflection of what we saw in the video, I think that I I did well to post it”, she says. “I can hear the anger of the French. If it hadn’t been for the video, what would have been next?
First, on the side of the police, we first defended ourselves by saying that Nahel had wanted to run into the policeman, which had forced him to fire. A version that the young woman wanted to deny.
“I’m not someone who wants light. I just think I did my duty. I might not act as if nothing had happened”, she underlines.
To date, she and her colleague have not yet been interviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.
