The work starts two months early and will be completed at the end of 2025
It takes shape Bormio Ski Stadiumthe arrival “heart” of the Stelvio slope which will be used for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina.
The project consists of two distinct structures – the “family lounge”, better known as the Ski Stadium, and the “hospitality lounge” – which will be built immediately downstream of the arrival area of the downhill skiing on the Stelvio slope: the first structure corresponding to the existing steps and the second to replace the building once the departure point of the old cable car, now abandoned and crumbling.
The work, financed by the Lombardy Region, was managed in all its phases by the Cal-Concessioni Autostradali Lombarde company, indirectly owned by the Lombardy Region and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. The contractor is the Valtellina company Costruzioni Cerri of Talamona (So), which started the works two months in advance, expecting to finish them in autumn 2025.
