As a result of the data comparison, the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office made a detention decision for 25 suspects who had evidence of their affiliation with FETO.
It was stated that 4 of the suspects were active duty, 5 were former soldiers, and 16 were military school students who were dismissed after the coup attempt.
It was also learned that 2 of the soldiers were in the rank of first lieutenant and 7 of them were in the rank of petty officer.
Police Department Anti-Terrorism Branch and Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams launched an operation in 10 provinces to catch the suspects.
22 suspects were detained in the operation.
It was determined that 2 of the 3 suspects who could not be caught yet were abroad.
