Shortly after 10 p.m., the police patrol in the Weigetschlag area (Bad Leonfelden, Urfahr-Environment district) noticed the car without a license plate. When the officers followed the car and the 30-year-old saw the blue light flashing in the rearview mirror, she stepped on the gas and raced at speeds of 160 km/h along the open road and at 130 km/h through 50 speed restrictions towards Linz.
A roadblock was set up near the city entrance. But the driver stopped about 300 meters away. She had to hand over her driver’s license and the vehicle was towed. Because there were no license plates mounted. They had already been taken from the 30-year-old at an earlier point in time. This could happen for various reasons – for example, if the license plates were not paid for, a police spokeswoman explains to nachrichten.at when asked.
The woman from Linz was insightful and regretted her behavior, the police reported. It is still displayed multiple times.
