After investing millions in Open AI to improve the development of products like ChatGPT and DALL-E, Microsoft integrated these services into its own AI products, and until now we have been able to use tools like Copilot or Bing Image Creator completely free of charge.
Copilot has become the jewel in Microsoft’s crown, and it seems that the time has come to monetize it. This week Microsoft has presented Copilot Pro, the premium version of Copilot that works under subscription and adds certain advantages such as the possibility of integrating the company’s chatbot into other applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point or Outlook. All this using the most advanced GPT-4 Turbo engine.
Another new feature included in Copilot’s 22 euro monthly subscription is the ability to create Copilot Custom GPTs. GPTs are hyper-specialized versions trained to be very efficient in a certain task, and their usefulness has been widely demonstrated as we saw in this other post about the 25 best personalized GPTs for ChatGPT in Spanish.
You do not need to be a Copilot Pro subscriber to use these 4 custom GPTs
Although the Copilot GPTs are one of the most interesting new features of Copilot Pro, the truth is that there are already some of these GPTs that can be used in the free version of the application.
Be careful, from what we have been able to verify these custom GPTs They are only available in the web version of Copilot (at least from Spain). Go into copilot.microsoft.com and you will find them in the side menu on the right.

As of today there are 5 Copilot GPTs available. The first of these is the ‘standard’ version of Copilot, trained for multiple purposes and general queries. Kind of like the original Copilot flavor.
Designer
The second custom GPT is Designer, and as you can imagine from the name it is and chatbot to generate images using DALL-E 3 AI. Something like Bing Image Generator, but with a conversational interface.
The free version of Designer offers us 15 ‘boosts’ to generate images faster. Of course, we must keep in mind that these impulses are linked to our Microsoft account. If after spending all our impulses in Copilot we open the Bing image generator we will see that our impulses will also have been exhausted there.

This Copilot GPT is specialized in travel. If you are one of those who likes to grab your backpack and go explore the world, with the Vacation Planner assistant you can discover new places, create travel itineraries and help you make reservations.
For example, we can tell you that we are going to spend 3 days in Barcelona and that we have X amount of money in our budget. From there he will recommend hotels that fit our needs, he will tell us about the weather in Barcelona on those dates, he will ask us what activities we like to do and he will even tell us the odd restaurant or emblematic place to visit.

Cooking Assistant is a kitchen assistant specialized in preparing recipes. You can also use it to create meal plans for the week or learn some tips and tricks.
It is a tool that can come in handy if we want to make a recipe but we are missing an ingredient. We can also ask you for advice on how to accompany a certain dish, etc. It has an interesting detail, and that is that if we make a request that goes beyond reason, such as creating a diet with too few calories, it will warn us that it can be harmful and will recommend that we speak with a doctor or nutritionist. .

Lastly, we have a virtual exercise assistant. This Copilot GPT can help you achieve your fitness goals, although to prepare your planning you will first have to answer a few questions.

As you can see, these 4 GPTs that Copilot offers are quite simple, although with enough pull to make them quite useful tools for a large number of users. There is also the possibility of creating personalized GPTs ‘to taste’, although for this it is necessary to be subscribed to Copilot Pro. At least with these free GPTs we can get an idea of their potential and from there assess whether it is worth making the leap to the premium version.
