By the end of the year must come out versions Ecarlate et Violet of Pokémon. Unpublished Pokémon, regional forms, new gimmicks, lifespan, region of the game, everything is there, or almost.
a leak that is difficult to contain
Pokémon fans are used to it, leaks are going well for Game Freak’s franchise. Nintendo struggles to contain the leaks and the most curious can thus feast, a few months before the release of the versions, on crisp information. And for several months now, regular but light, and above all enigmatic, leaks have been appearing on the web. Only since last weekthe leak intensified greatly. The scraps have given way to veritable blocks of precise information, leaving little room for interpretation.
Information listed by the specialized Spanish Twitter account @CentroLeaks, which we have summarized for you in a more digestible way just below:
- The region is called Part ;
- Mega Evolutions aren’t back;
- The map compte 3 major cities, 9 cities of smaller sizes ;
- Le Pokémon Regional counts 400 to 500 Pokémon;
- 120 to 140 new Pokémon will be present;
- 2 new regional forms: Taurus and Axolotus ;
- 3 new dog Pokémon. One of them is a Specter Pokemon;
- A new spider Pokémon;
- No third Legendary;
- Three new gimmicks: crystallization, ancient and future species and the “regional fakes” (game mechanics explained in more detail below);
- Legendary Pokémon will get ancient/future species, but this content could be kept for the DLC;
- Ancient/future species cannot evolve;
- Pohm, Scalproic, Scalpion, Colossing, Insolourdo, Cornèbre will have new developments;
- Not all of Hisui’s Pokémon will be in the game;
- Teddiursa, Dodoala, Motisma, Muplodocus, Héliatronc, Feuforêve, Smogogo, Carchacrok are in the game;
- Capumain, Bazoucan, Chovsourir, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Couafarel, Rongourmand, Methane, Statitik, Milobellus, Wailord, Metallose, Lippoutou, Golemastoc are not in the game;
- The game will contain side quests;
- A group of 4 mythical Pokémon will be present;
- There is no new evolution for Eevee;
- Pokémon will travel through time, not the player;
- Dreamfire will have an ancient species;
- Cadoizo will have a future species;
- Character customization would be more limited there. Clothing options are limited to school uniforms;
- The game required 60 hours to the author of the leak, although he admitted to not being particularly good.
Regarding these “3 gimmicks”, it is no more, no less, new Pokémon game mechanics. The Scarlet and Violet versions therefore arrive with a whole host of new features, starting with three new features: the crystallizationthem ancient and future species and the “regional fakes”. Introduced in the ninth generation of Pokémon, these gimmicks are intended to spice up the adventure:
Crystallization:
In the case of crystallization, this mechanic changes the Pokémon’s appearance while boosting a specific Type (which can be chosen), so that it gains an additional damage coefficient in this Type. A mechanic activated through the use of an item that can be used by the majority of NPCs.
Ancient and future species:
As their names suggest, these species will be future and ancient forms of existing Pokémon. However, they will have their own name, their own Pokémon number and will be Pokémon in their own right, not just new forms.
Les “regional fakes” :
“Regional fakes” are described as a small group of new Pokémon that look just like existing Pokémon. “Clones” that are sure to amuse Internet users, like the clone of Triopiker, a Water-Type eel Pokémon that behaves exactly like Triopiker and even has a similar face.
