A 5.1 magnitude earthquake was felt on the Greek island of Crete on Thursday evening shortly before 10:00 p.m. (9:00 p.m. HB). There were no injuries, according to reports from local media.
The quake took place near the village of Tymbaki, according to the Athens Institute of Geodynamics. The epicenter of the earthquake is located at a depth of 9 kilometers, which is why the Cretans felt a strong tremor.
