Bootcamp Young Ambassador Agriculture and Ambassador Polbangtan/ PEPI 2024 (Doc)

A total of 75 young farmers succeeded in becoming nominees for the 2024 Young Ambassador for Agriculture. Meanwhile, 14 Polbangtan/PEPI 2024 Ambassadors were selected to enter the grand final.

This was discovered in the 2024 Young Ambassador Agriculture and Polbangtan/PEPI Bootcamp which was held at the Padjadjaran Hotel, Bogor on April 30-May 4 2024.

The Youth Entrepreneur and Employment Support Service (YESS) program organized by the Agricultural Education Center, Agricultural Extension and Human Resource Development Agency (BPPSDMP), Ministry of Agriculture in collaboration with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) has succeeded in stimulating young farmers to be more active in advancing Indonesian agriculture.

This is proven by the high enthusiasm of participants from various regions of Indonesia in competing in bootcamps and various learning sessions to further increase their agricultural productivity and expand their networks.

Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman fully supports all activities of young farmers in advancing agriculture, with various programs that support the optimization of food production in Indonesia,

“This program is an effort to increase food production, so it requires the involvement of various parties, from related stakeholders to young farmers as targets,” said Amran, in his statement, Saturday (4/5).

Head of BPPSDMP Ministry of Agriculture, Dedi Nursyamsi stated that the YESS program in producing Agriculture Ambassadors and Young Ambassadors can encourage young farmers to actively participate in improving Indonesian food.

“This selection and learning encourages young farmers to continue to promote and invite young people to be active in the agricultural sector,” he explained.

Separately, YESS Project Manager Inneke said that this bootcamp is a learning tool for young farmers in representing advanced, independent and modern farmers. Boo is filled with interesting activities and materials as well as competent resource persons, carried out collaboratively, inclusively and constructively.

It is hoped that the selected 2024 Polbangtan/PEPI Ambassadors will be at the forefront in socializing agricultural education programs, actively coordinating, consolidating, representing and resonating in promoting agricultural vocations in Indonesia.

The 75 YAA 2024 nominees are expected to continue developing their businesses as an implementation of the bootcamp. The YAA selection stages will continue until the Grand Final session to obtain 50 Young Ambassadors for 2024.

Head of the Agricultural Education Center, Idha Widi Arsanti, said that this activity provided a lot of knowledge, benefits, networking and collaboration that all participants could gain.

“The knowledge at this bootcamp cannot be gained at other opportunities, so it is hoped that it can provide great benefits not only to the participants but to everyone for future improvement,” he continued. (Z-8)
