The Egyptian actress, Fatima Mazhar, passed away, Wednesday, after a struggle with illness, at the age of 79.
The late artist, described by some critics as one of the icons of Egyptian cinema and beauty in the seventies of the last century, chose to stay away from the spotlight during the past three decades, until she left our world in silence.
Fatima Mazhar, the sister of the late artist Ahmed Mazhar, was born in Cairo in 1943, and graduated from the English Department of the Faculty of Arts, and later joined the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, and began acting on the university stage, before Nour El-Demerdash nominated her for director Mohamed Fadel to participate in the television series.
