CEDIMAT doctor becomes the first nephrology graduate in the USA

Los Centers for Diagnosis and Advanced Medicine and Medical Conferences and Telemedicine (CEDIMAT), reported that the first internal medicine resident to be accepted into a fellowship in the United States will now become the nation’s only full postgraduate nephrologist.

This is the doctor of internal medicine, Ronald Valdez, who is completing the subspecialty of nephrology, at the Jacobi Hospital, of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, in New York City.

“Starting next July, Valdez plans return to the Dominican Republicafter specializing in clinical nephrology, where he has also acquired extensive experience in interventional procedures in his area”, explained Jorge Marte, Medical Director of CEDIMAT.

In his first year of subspecialty, the doctor received andl premio al “Teaching Fellow of The Year”. This recognition is given to the Fellow who has offered the highest level and quality of teaching of all hospital residents.

Marte said that with this achievement not only the doctor’s success is celebrated, but also the quality of his previous preparation as a specialist in medicine intern, graduated from CEDIMAT.

For this reason, Valdez never ceases to express his eternal gratitude to CEDIMAT, flagship of postgraduate medical education in the country. As well as his teachers and mentors, in particular Dr. Jorge Marte.

Also, Valdez was grateful to the health center. At the same time, he expresses his desire to return to the country what he has done for him and thus contribute to the improvement of the health system.
