There was a lot of unrest this Wednesday morning in the Risquons-Tout district, not far from the French border. Four Mouscron police teams – three combis and an unmarked car – were deployed on the side of rue des Prés and rue de Neuville, and notably monitored access to French territory, at the level of the border.
These are three individuals who were the target of this research.
It was a local who sounded the alarm when he saw three men trying to steal his car.
“When he came to them, the three perpetrators quickly fled,” we were told by the Mouscron police. “Faced with this flagrant offence, our services intervened promptly, with four teams sent to the scene. »
Very effectively, moreover, since two of the three fugitives were then quickly able to be arrested, while the third was still on the run when the search was stopped.
The investigation will determine whether or not the perpetrators were known to the police for other similar incidents along the French border.
