The Council of the Syndicate of Employees and Users of the Companies Operating the Cellular Sector in Lebanon announced, “Stop working in the Alfa and Touch companies, starting tomorrow, Monday, until obtaining the rights,” stressing that “whoever bears responsibility for this decision is the one who robbed the right holder of his right and broke his promises.”
And he pointed out, in a message sent by the union to the employees, that “you who have always been as keen on the telecommunications sector as you are keen on yourselves. O pride and honor for everyone who knew you and praised your competencies and scientific capabilities. How we would like to bleed to you the news that you have been denied the rights you were denied, but oh Unfortunately, the test of affiliation and eligibility has been negative for many of you.”
And the union stated, “We have never been amateurs of disruption, but when we break promises and when officials fail to abide by their pledges to give you what is right for you without addition or omission, and because we were never greedy as others changed us, and the evidence is known and all we ask for is our right, and after giving deadlines as evidence.” In good faith, we faced the challenge, the threat and the intimidation, and after reaching the negative results and the unwillingness of the stakeholders to give you your rights clearly stipulated in the collective work contract, we announce the cessation of work in the Alfa and Touch companies, starting from tomorrow, Monday, until the rights are obtained.
And she emphasized that “whoever bears responsibility for this decision is the one who robbed the rightful owner of his right and broke his promises. You are rightful owners, and a right behind it will not die.”
