Miami – A 10-year-old girl has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of a woman who was fighting with her mother in a housing development in Orlando, downtown. Floridalocal media reported on Tuesday.
The event occurred on May 30 at the Jerningan Gardens apartments, where Lakrisha Isaac31, started arguing with another woman, Lashun Rodgersfor unknown reasons and, at a certain moment, he gave his daughter a bag that he was carrying and that had a gun inside, the local channel WKMG TV reported.
The escalation of verbal violence between the two women increased and some blows began to be exchanged, until Rodgers’ boyfriend intervened.
Rodgers then stopped fighting and was walking away when the girl pulled the gun out of the bag and shot the woman twice.
“I shouldn’t have hit my mom”said the girl, according to witnesses to the incident.
Rodgers was rushed to a hospital, but doctors could do nothing to save her life.
The mother now faces charges of “culpable negligent manslaughter” aggravated with a firearm.
