A Belgian buys a castle for 1.2 million euros without having any money

The former owner of the estate, a lady in her seventies, had put her property up for sale in 2015. She had become unable to properly maintain such a home.

In 2017, the former manager decides to pose as a wealthy real estate investor. A problem, and not the least, then arose: he had no money in his bank account and was in debt.

Over time, the man managed to gain the confidence of the old owner and managed to convince her to give him the castle… for a “pitcher of bread”. With an estimated value of 1.2 million euros, the estate was sold to the former manager for only €200,000!

A sum of which the man has never paid a penny to the septuagenarian …
