Lawyer Ahmed Mahran submitted a report to the Public Prosecutor accusing a football official of the crime of adultery with his client’s wife.
“Mahran” said in his communication, which bore No. 55399 of 2022, that the husband – his client – found a “flash” containing a video clip, during which the wife appeared with the football official, committing an “act of adultery” inside an apartment in the Azbakeya neighborhood.
The communication called for legal action to be taken against the defendants. He noted that Article 274 of the Penal Code stipulates that a married woman whose adultery is proven to be punished by imprisonment for a period not exceeding two years, and the partner of the adulterer shall be punished with the same penalty prescribed in accordance with the text of Article 275 of the Penal Code.
The author continued: “In our concern for the husband’s right to file a criminal case in defense of honor and honour, and the lack of mixing of lineages, and in defense of moral, social and religious values, we demand an investigation of what happened.”
