Al-Marsad Newspaper: The infectious and epidemiological disease consultant, Dr. Tariq Al-Azraqi, said that the transformation of the Marburg virus into an epidemic like Corona is unlikely.
He added, during his interview with the Madam program, that the Marburg virus is spread in African countries, and is transmitted through contact or sticky contact, unlike the Corona virus, which is transmitted through air or droplets.
The infectious disease consultant concluded that the risk of Marburg virus transmission is very low, and pandemics occur in African countries due to the presence of monkeys and bats.
