The Zurich cantonal police were informed Thursday evening, around 9 p.m., that an argument had broken out within a family living in Elsau (ZH). The intervention forces immediately went to the scene. According to initial information from the police, two people were shot and killed and another was seriously injured during the dispute.
“A violent argument broke out within a family, during which a firearm was used,” confirmed Ralph Hirt, the police spokesman, to BRK News on the spot. “There was no danger for the residents and the neighborhood, everything happened in a house, he added.
The investigation is continuing to determine the exact circumstances of this tragedy. It is carried out by the cantonal police of Zurich, in collaboration with the public prosecutor of the canton of Zurich.
