The tragic incident occurred when a pedestrian was crossing the railway bridge over the chaussée de Waterloo. The victim was hit by a train traveling from Gembloux to Namur. Firefighters from the NAGE area responded to the scene with a pumper, ambulance, and SMUR of the Namur CHR. Sadly, the victim died instantly and could not be saved. The Namur public prosecutor’s office has been informed.
