The statement of the Vice-President of the “Future Movement”, Mustafa Alloush, sparked widespread controversy among the future public, after he considered that Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s non-participation in the elections does not mean that the partisans or the Future MPs cannot run under their personal names. Alloush also announced that he is on “permanent coordination with President Fouad Siniora, and these developments are taking place with the support of Mufti Abdel Latif Derian and with an agreement between former heads of government not to leave the Sunni arena empty in front of emergency and financiers.” ?
To inquire about the background of this position and whether Alloush decided to go against Hariri’s directions, “Lebanon Debate” contacted the Vice President of “Al-Mustaqbal” and revealed: “I told Prime Minister Hariri that I am convinced of Siniora’s words and coordinate with him, and I asked him if he wanted me to submit my resignation from The current refused.”
Regarding the “Mustaqbal” generalization, which imposes the resignation of adherents to the movement in the event of the determination to participate in any electoral activity, to refrain from marketing electoral projects or to any of the candidates and not to participate in any activities or electoral machines, Alloush replied: “I am affiliated with the movement and I told Prime Minister Hariri. What do you want me to do? I am ready? .. and I am convinced of what Fouad Siniora is doing.” ?
As for the expectations of a breach or change if Siniora’s efforts to form a parliamentary bloc succeed, Alloush explained, “I am not sure of anything, but there is an effort to do something. We are publicly trying to reach a useful result in order to be able to stop at least the collapse in morale. People, and if we don’t reach, we will try.” ?
In response to a question, Alloush pointed out that “Siniora warned that he is not running for candidacy, neither in Beirut, nor in Sidon or Tripoli.
He added: “Coordination is taking place at the level of Lebanon and under the slogans that President Siniora said in his press conference, which is basically related to the country’s sovereign vision and confronting Iran.” ?
He continued, “If there are personalities who want to run in the elections in this way, we are ready, except for that Fouad Siniora said literally, at least, to maintain some cohesion, pending the return of Saad Hariri.” ?
Alloush concluded, saying: “I am Saad Hariri’s deputy, and if he disagrees with what I say, the simplest things were for him to contact me to discourage me.” ?
