Pennsylvania authorities have arrested a woman who killed her parents and dismembered them with a chainsaw. > The American woman, Verty Beck, 43, shot her parents in the head last Tuesday before dismembering them, according to a criminal complaint.
Beck, who lived in a home in Norresttown, outside Philadelphia, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of third-degree murder and possession of a murder device.
The two victims’ son, Justin Beck, later told police that he went to his parents’ home to check on them and saw someone lying on the floor covered in a bloody sheet and a chainsaw near the body, according to the complaint.
Justin said that he spoke with his sister for about half an hour inside the house, and asked her if something bad had happened to their parents, and she said, “Yes.” She told her brother that conditions in the house were bad, according to the complaint.
Beck told her they needed to call the police, but she told him she needed more time. He then left the house and called emergency services, telling the police that there were at least two weapons in the house that his sister might have been able to reach.
When the police went to check the house and tried to contact Verity Beck at the front door, they did not receive any response, so they entered the house and noticed a strong smell of decomposition. Inside they find Verity Beck, who has been tied up and taken out of the house.
Police found the bodies of both a 73-year-old male and a 72-year-old female. A saw was found near the two bodies, and both were in various stages of dismemberment. The authorities did not reveal the reason for committing this heinous crime.
