The Santa Rosa de Calamuchita Special School works on a project called “Plazas Blandas” which consists of bringing a series of games to the town’s squares for an entire day, for boys and girls from 0 to 8 years old accompanied by their families.
The activity aims to be able to share with families the upbringing of their children, through spontaneous recreation and to revalue play as an important part of childhood learning.
When asked about how the idea of the activity arose, one of the coordinators of the activities, Sonia Aguilera, said: “We thought about a change of view of all childhoods from inclusion because we are an inclusive school that thinks and bets to an inclusive community.”

The proposal was presented to the Ministry of Education of the Province of Córdoba for the topic called “good practices” and has been carried out in Santa Rosa since May.
In the second stage of the year, the participation of fourth-year students from the San Francisco de Asís Institute and adolescents who study at the Special School was incorporated, as a form of joint and integrated work between both Institutions.
The young people carry out the task of creating games with recycled, reusable material and coordinating the activities, in the squares where they gather families.
For the month of November they will call for older adults who want to participate in reading stories for the boys and girls who share the activity.
The professionals in charge of the project are Sonia Aguilera, María Laura Salvatore, Carolina Oliva and Noelia Ballatore, belonging to the Santa Rosa de Calamuchita Special School, and Victoria Paquinelli, teacher at the San Francisco de Asís Institute.
The meetings are open to the entire community, free of charge. Boys and girls who participate must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
