A statement from the Public Prosecution regarding the investigation with a person who impersonated a health practitioner without a license and gave a lecture in a hotel

Al-Marsad Newspaper: An official source in the Public Prosecution stated that the Public Prosecution Office for Assaulting Persons has initiated an investigation with an expatriate on charges of violating the provisions of the health professions practice system.

The investigation procedures revealed that the aforementioned published false medical information through his account in a social media program, gave a lecture in a hotel in this regard, and provided what he claims are medical consultations while not having an academic qualification in the medical specialty, in addition to the absence of a regular document from the competent authorities. He is authorized to perform health practices, or to provide medical opinion to patients.

The source stressed the preservation of criminal protection towards some medical practices, its care for the protected interests within its scope, and the preservation of the general health and safety of individuals, in accordance with the health professions practice system, without prejudice to the private rights arising from these abuses.

The source emphasized the prohibition of impersonating any of the titles of practicing or practicing health professions, or using means in that, without obtaining a license from the competent authority, and that this requires criminal accountability.
