Al-Marsad newspaper: Former Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov revealed that Russian President Vladimir Putin has already begun to realize that he is losing the war he launched against Ukraine, and its end does not seem close.
In an interview with German broadcaster Deutsche Welle, Kasyanov said that Putin appeared a little nervous during his statements.
“Putin’s reaction and rhetoric was very weak, and I think he is already beginning to realize that he is losing this war,” he added.
In his Victory Day speech, Putin said: “The West was a threat we could not accept, a direct threat to our borders, everything showed that we are dealing with the Nazis, and we have to do something about it.”
The former Russian prime minister noted that Putin’s advisers “misled” him about the state of Russian forces and the time needed to achieve the goals of a military offensive in Ukraine.
Kasyanov, who succeeded Putin as prime minister, confirmed that when he worked with him, “Putin was a completely different person,” as he put it
