Amazon’s stated goal is to be able to focus on Amazon Photos, an online photo and video storage service that allows unlimited storage of still images and up to 5GB of videos for Prime subscribers. Several steps are planned for the closure of the service: as of October 31, the mobile application will disappear from the various application stores. From January 31, no more documents can be saved but it will still be possible to consult the old ones until December 31, 2023, the date of the definitive closure of the service.
It will therefore be necessary to switch your text or other documents to another backup or risk seeing them deleted at the end of next year. Amazon specifies, however, that the photos and videos already stored on Amazon Drive have already) been migrated to Amazon Photos, which therefore remains in place.
As a reminder, Amazon Prime is included for Freebox Delta subscribers and offered for six months to Freebox Revolution and Pop subscribers. It is also offered as an option for other Freebox subscribers, but its price will increase soon.
