The first massive deployment in a public administration of a chatbot powered by a large language model came from Japan. In Yokosuka, according to the local press, the 4,000 town hall employees experimented last spring and then adopted ChatGPT, the most famous conversational software.

Certainly, half of them had complained regarding meeting summaries that were sometimes approximate. But the municipality estimated that the time saved by the tool was equivalent to reducing the working day by 10 minutes.
