Vienna (OTS) – As already reported today, yesterday morning two people who were unknown at the time of the crime shouted inflammatory slogans in downtown Vienna and tore the Israeli flag, which was attached to an object belonging to the Israeli religious community, from its anchorage. Furthermore, there was bodily harm in this context.
Dedicated officers from the Vienna standby unit and the professional investigations of the State Office for the Protection of the Constitution and Combating Terrorism (LVT) succeeded in tracking down a suspect (17, Stbg.: Austria).
The 17-year-old has already been questioned by the LVT Vienna about the allegations. She confessed to the damage to property, but denied the allegations of incitement.
She also stated that she was heavily drunk at the time of the crime, that she only met the other people shortly before the crime and that they motivated her to commit this act.
The 17-year-old was reported to be at large.
The investigation into the other suspects is ongoing.
