According to the lawyer of the family of the unfortunate Kyriaki, actions will be taken for the gap observed in the video-document after her murder.
In a statement, EL.AS. states, among other things, that “The specific video material comes from a camera with ‘motion detection’, that is, from a camera that does not record continuously, it records only when there is movement in her field of vision. As a result, to non-experts or malicious people, the impression of intermittent recording can be created.”
Regarding statements and publications referring to the alteration of video footage related to the murder near the AT of Agios Anargyros, which was shown in today’s television broadcasts, the Headquarters of the Hellenic Police clarifies that the Hellenic Police from the first moment handed over to the competent prosecuting authorities the all of the audio-visual and other pre-investigative material that was collected.
At the same time, the investigation by the Internal Affairs Service is ongoing as well as the corresponding administrative examination by the Sub-Directorate of Administrative Examinations, in whose possession all of the above material is likewise.

“We will request any further investigation. What we see on our receivers, with the naked eye I perceive that there is a gap, the video is not complete. What I can tell you is that they will be requested. We are not talking about simple femicide, but a state crime. For manslaughter by omission. I see what you see. If what we are watching is in the file, know that further actions will be requested because it seems to have been cut.”
According to Alpha’s report, which cites sources within the Police, the videos from both the department’s cameras and those from the adjacent shops were received by the Western Attica Security Sub-Directorate, from the Internal Affairs Department which conducts the criminal investigation and from the GADA to which EDE has been assigned. This means that the material in question has not passed through forensic laboratories.
For his part, former trade unionist police officer Stavros Balaskas noted that “if this material in the case file there is an issue. 2 – 3 seconds left. Someone cut them.”
The killer of 28-year-old Kyriaki Griva was transferred to the Korydallos prison hospital again. The 39-year-old had attempted suicide a few days ago, as a result of which he was transferred in critical condition to “Attikon” hospital and then to “Zaneio”, where he remained under guard.
The doctors decided that there was no reason for him to stay in the hospital, so he returned to Korydallos at noon on Monday.

Agioi Anargyri: What Kyriaki’s girlfriend reveals about the 39-year-old
Her friend and colleague who was her partner in the crew, sheds light on the abuse Sunday received in previous years.

“When she went to her mom one day, he was yelling so much and I said, ‘Do you think it’s reasonable for him to curse you for going to your mom?’ He would put us in and we would work and he would sit in the car and wait for us…”
Another colleague added:
“She was a very scared girl. Whenever we moved away to have a couple of words like women, Thanasis would come running. He was very manipulative and bossy and at one point when I had to see Sunday for a work matter, he forbade me to talk to her and anything I wanted I would have to talk to him about.”
When asked by the reporter if she had ever noticed marks on her from a blow, she replied that she had not seen anything because she always wore long sleeves.
“Even what he’s doing now where he’s playing crazy has pissed me off and not just me. I hope she doesn’t get away with it,” he concluded.
