After more than 13 months of intense negotiations, the minority ruling Spanish left-wing coalition has garnered the support it needs from smaller left-wing parties to push a housing bill through parliament. “We have reached an historic agreement to pass our democracy’s first housing law,” Socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said on Twitter. “We are responding to one of the main concerns of citizens and are strengthening our welfare state,” he added.
