Agricultural Show: Emmanuel Macron organizes a – new – big debate

Arnaud Rousseau at the FNSEA, as well as Arnaud Gaillot (JA) indicated this Friday, February 23 that they would not participate. The reason ? “The conditions for peaceful dialogue are not met. Faced with the risks of overflow, we ask that this debate not be held», indicated Arnaud Rousseau on X.

An open, frank and unfiltered debate

For more than two hours, the President of the Republic will listen to everyone’s fears and ideas on the agricultural future, all “in a republican state of mind, open, frank and without filter», Adds the Élysée. Among the themes covered: farmers’ income, environmental transformations, phytosanitary products, etc. This moment of discussion, also open to the general public, will be introduced by the president of the Salon de l’Agriculture, Jean-Luc Poulain.

By organizing such a meeting, President Macron wishes once again to show his support and attention to the agricultural world. It is also a good way to echo the government’s new commitments in favor of the agricultural world, unveiled on Wednesday February 21 by the Prime Minister, Gabriel Attal. Announcements which, however, did not convince all the unions.
