AHL: Rocket dominate in loss at Rochester

The Laval Rocket outshot the Rochester Americans 42-17, but it was still the Americans who came out on top 3-1.

Lucas Condotta is the only Rocket player who managed to deceive the vigilance of Malcolm Subban. He hit the target in the second period to tie the game at 1-1. Michael Mersch previously scored in the first half for Rochester.

In the third period, Linus Weissbach restored the Americans to a 2-1 lead and Mersch completed the scoring with his second of the game, into an empty net.

Subban made 41 saves in the win, while Rocket goaltender Kevin Poulin allowed two goals on 16 shots.

Upon his return to the Rocket, Anthony Richard picked up an assist. Mitchell Stephens was the other accomplice in Condotta’s goal.

The Rocket will be back in action Friday night at Syracuse.
