Ahmad Dhani appreciated Ari Bias’ joining and big role in AKS1 (All-Indonesian Association of Composers). According to him, after Ari Bias participated, many famous artists started paying royalties to the composers of the songs they sang.
Ari Bias himself is a composer, producer, and songwriter. Many Indonesian music lovers have listened to his works for a long time. He once composed songs for Agnez Mo to Kris Dayanti.
According to Ahmad Dhani, there was a significant difference before and after Ari Bias joined AKS1. In his language, Dhani said that AKS1 now has more ‘teeth’.

“Ari Bias after entering AKS1, famous artists have paid royalties, Denny Chasmala has already received payment from Kris Dayanti. I have paid directly to Ari Bias, paid to Viu, paid to Denny Chasmala, paid directly to me, paid directly to Bebi Romeo too already there,” he added.
At the same moment, Ahmad Dhani was also outspoken in expressing his aspirations regarding music royalties and live events. He emphatically said that AKS1 could irritate a number of parties.
“The presence of AKS1 is just one thing that we want to take care of but it will be a big thing for our seniors who sit at LMKM, PAPPRI and others,” he said.
“Even though in the first AKS1 declaration I said in front of LMKM that in fact money from WAMI in 2022 collected IDR 140 billion. I don’t want to take care of that, I want to take care of one thing they can’t manage, namely live events, it turns out from IDR 140 The billion from the live event only collabed Rp. 900 million, so it’s less than 1 percent of Rp. 140 billion,” he said.
“There I told our seniors who might be full, I said directly in front of the LMKM we only want to take care of the 1 percent that you can’t handle. Don’t be bothered, we want to take care of this until 2024 there is a new government, we just want to take care of live event where songwriters get according to the law get proper royalties, because we don’t get proper royalties,” explained Dhani.
Ahmad Dhani mentioned that not a few people in the organization he mentioned objected to the existence of AKS1 and what he was fighting for. He heard whispers and statements from people who, according to Dhani, were ‘full’ of dealing with royalties.
Dhani assessed that these people were not willing for AKS1 to interfere in matters of music royalties. Not afraid either. Dhani calls them greedy.
